Terrible with Apple Pencil

I like the Mac version of Sketchbook, but the iPad version has terrible drawing with the Apple Pencil. Its impossible to draw small, detailed little drawings -- try to draw a little scribble dot, and the colour picker turns on; disable the colour picker, try again, and it doesnt even draw.

The Apple Pencil allows for small, precise drawing in other apps like Procreate, but its implementation in Sketchbook is unusable.
